Let me clarify, Dinners On Us! is really dinners on them! The chop-lickin' part is totally on target. I'm so excited to get to introduce you to Chef Geoff and Maria Jordan! Chef Geoff says he doesn't consider himself a chef, but more of a self-taught cook. I say he's a chef because once upon a time there were no culinary schools. Once upon a time there were people who loved the chemistry and artistry of cooking and the myriad of aromas and flavors produced from it. They learned from others, experimented on their own, and often passed down their discoveries to others with the same passion. Campfire foodies were our very first chefs and Chef Geoff can do a whole lot more than thread marshmallows onto a skinned tree limb then hold 'em over a fire. Plated creativity ...These folks have got it goin' on with a wide array of delish dishes, be you Yankee, Rebel or have a hankering for something more exotic, like their Euro-Mediterranean specialties. They're accurate in their home-style description because they serve ample portions of whatever they're plating up and their food is cooked in their own beautiful kitchen. Something I'm especially happy to tell you about is that the Jordans are avid supporters of small businesses, incorporating their local ones as vendors for fresh ingredients in the foods they cook. Fresh is also a big deal to them so their weekly menus are planned according to what's available in their local markets. (Bravo!!) They also have a preference to prep their food in a healthy fashion by diminishing fats where possible, and keeping salts to a minimum. That means you get to salt it to your own preference, and they'll never over do it. But, don't misunderstand. Lowering the fat doesn't mean they dropped the ball on tasty! The photos below are via author, Maria Jordan of marcoujor's musings, who is also Chef Geoff's wife and business partner. If you click on any of the pics below, a fresh page will open for you on their Dinners On Us! website! It's not fast food. It's FAB food!Mind you, Dinners On Us! isn't a drive-thru joint. They post their menus a week ahead of time and you contact them with what you'd like to order. Their foods are packaged for easy-serving in your own dining room, patio, pool-side dinner table, or whatever other place you've got to enjoy a meal. They're flexible and can accommodate you for a little, or a lot.
Orders are delivered locally on Saturdays, unless other arrangements have been made. Their food can be used right then, or can easily be stored frozen to serve at a later date. Also, their business is ServSafe certified! The photos I included in the slide-show were dishes they made recently, but they don't come close to reflecting the entire menu and it's stellar variety of dishes! Some of the items that aren't pictured are things like Southwestern Squash Casserole, Peach Pudding, Arugula/Pear and Walnut Salad, and Maria's famous peanut brittle. There's loads more but I don't want to spoil your browsing fun! And yes, they cook meat dishes. I just didn't mention them because ... well ... you know why. (Grin!) So, in closing, here's the thing. If you're not local you may have to make some special arrangements to get a hold of some of this fantastic fare. However, if you live in the area of Norristown, Pennsylvania, you're golden! The other cool thing is, now that you know who they are, even though you may not be in their area, if you know folks who are, please give them a heads up about Dinners On Us! in Norristown. Maybe send them a link in an email, or buy them a dinner! Oh yeah! I mentioned up top that I read several comments from customers raving about their food. One in particular said the coolest thing. "I wish you lived in my kitchen!!!!" Honest, folks, it doesn't get any better than that. Okay! That's it for this edition of the Pumpkin Run Pulse! Thank you soooo much for visiting today and I hope you've enjoyed getting acquainted with Chef Geoff and Maria Jordan. They're very cool people so I hope you'll please check out their sites and see about ordering some of their awesome fare. See you back again this Thursday at femme's Desk, and until then have a great week and be safe. God bless you, thank you for the read and please don't forget to thank a veteran at your next opportunity! femmeflashpoint

Wow-I just learned something new about Mar and her talented husband. The photo's are enticing and the review well done. Thanks for sharing this with us, femme. It's a beautiful thing Mar when one loves what they do. Having passion for a craft makes into an art and not a job.

Oh, my, my, my, my mouth is watering and my stomach is grumbling. What creative creations to savor and my nose is twitching from the signals my brain is sending out as to the visuals and such aromas to die for ...I mean to tell you. ...y'all have got it going on. Wish I could have lunch there today, but alas by son wants to have lunch with me.
