The staff is familiar with me and I’m familiar with them, and they’re just as familiar with my friend. During a recent meeting, our server mentioned a recent overdose on pancakes. Wasn’t that she ate lots of them. It was that the syrup was possibly not sugar-free and she’s diabetic. She explained that she packs her food to take to work, and is in habit of including sugar-free condiments, but it was possible that the syrup on her cakes ended up being sugared, accidentally. My friend and I both took interest in her story, since both of us have a history of spending much of our careers in medicine, as well as having many diabetics in our own families. With our additional passion for homeopathic wellness options, I decided to make good use of the conversation, and meet a couple needs. In the doing, I hoped to gain a new reader for flashPress, give a couple hard-working YouTube producers some time in the spotlight (and hopefully gain them some new fans as well), while providing a some tasty, diabetic-safe recipes for one of the world’s fav foods.
