![]() Isn’t it great to be able to get healthy with good medicines that don’t come in a pill, or an injection? I love to spread the word about natural, organic, plant-based medicines, but on the horizon are some new editions being put together for the FarmaCOPEia series, with some therapists who provide live medicine and whose professional attire sometimes consists of horseshoes. This is gonna be sooooo much fun! What’s the angle of the "live" FarmaCOPEia editions?Well, at least partly, horses of courses! And, they're not alone! My sister Nee (Alicia of On Story Street) and I have been tramping around the countryside, through barns, pens, paddocks and pastures. Over the last couple months, these excursions have produced some awesome-sauce adventures that we just have to share with you. Nee’s background includes a couple of fascinating experiences, including one of how she was helped to exceed the neurologists’ (plural on purpose) expectations and overcame many of the effects of a TBI (traumatic brain injury) at birth, with the help of a special, four-legged-friend... More on that in an upcoming edition. For now the news is...We visited a farm in southeastern Illinois several weeks ago where we met and got to work with a group of smart, gentle and intuitive horses. Their owner, Debi, is a sweetheart and it's obvious her equine colleagues love her dearly and enjoy their work. Debi’s equine therapy and education team interacted with us in some fascinating ways. They helped my sister in release of a concern and making progress in transitioning to the other side of a difficult situation. This was done in the quiet, peaceful environment of a neatly kept round-pen. If you’re thinking horses can’t talk, you must not be listening to them in the right way. They’re very good communicators once you get the hang of their language. I’ve not yet heard them talk like Balaam’s donkey but hey, not everyone speaks in the same accent. Since then, I’m making it a point to listen and be more attentive in every opportunity to hear, see and understand what horses (and other animals) might be communicating to me via their unique lingo. It’s fascinating stuff and it has left me even further amazed with these wonderful creatures. Coming soon! You’ll be seeing info coming from professionals, including more articles on Debi's team's expertise, who’ll share their experience and knowledge of how a variety of animals often work as therapy providers in numerous ways. These include, but aren’t limited to physical/mental and spiritual basic health and a wide range of targeted therapies. So ... got anxiety? Arthritis? Depression? Too low (or too high) self-esteem issues? Maybe got some writer's block goin' on? If you’re in southwestern Indiana, you can visit one of these quality interaction establishments for immediate relief! 😊 💖 Equine Lead near Olney, Illinois 💖 Heartland Equine Rescue in Gibson County 💖 Posey County Saddle Club in ... you guessed it, Posey County, Indiana These are three of the groups (of animals and people) that will be featured in posts coming up soon. You’re also likely to make some new friends via this series, some near and maybe some far away in other countries. I’ll hope you’ll read this editions with a spirit of adventure and a heart open to possibilities and maybe even a miracle or two, or many?
