It’s a new series, here on flashPress, that starts ... today. 😎 The posts will be short with bits of information to brighten and lighten your ideas and feelings about gaining ground with overall health and mobility. They won’t all come from me. I’m getting other folks involved in making the content for you as well. Heh-heh... Might even be YOU! My own quest(s) for fitness is an ongoing challenge. I’ve maybe spent as much time recovering from injuries or illnesses as I have working out. That’s life, and I just maintain that whatever day i have, is one that God’s given me. Whether I’m able to work out or not, I’m grateful for the day and do my best to use it wisely. For lots of us, the desire to be fit is less about a look and more about feeling good. Our desire is to keep moving as best as we can for as long as possible. “Exercise is such a drag...”Hmmm... Maybe you’re just goin’ at it wrong? My attitude toward fitness is to be consistent with doing a variety of stuff that’s interesting and fun enough to keep me engaged in it. I’ve had a decades long love-affair with mountain biking. I don’t get to do it often, but when I do, the adventure is always worth loading up and driving to whatever trails are on the agenda. It’s not something I prefer to do alone, but thankfully, I’ve got friends here, there and yonder who love it at least nearly as much as I do. A recent revival of an old favorite is rope jumping. It can be tough on the knees but there are organic and inexpensive ways I’ve been taught and incorporated to help prevent impact damage. This is a sport that can be done most anywhere and is great for individuals or groups. More on that in an upcoming edition. Walking and jogging--I have big love for both but due to some recurrent health challenges I’m not always able to engage in them. When I can, I love it, and it’s not just a way to get in some fun and interesting exercise but at the same time I (thankfully) get to jog through some beautiful scenery and make short stops to visit with friends and neighbors in the village, which makes it an inexpensive social sport, other than the cost of quality jogging sneakers. Personally, I’m a long-time Champion fan and they’re still making me happy whether I’m jumping rope, cycling or jogging in them. You’ll soon see flashFit posts peppering the Pumpkin Run Pulse. I’m excited about bringing it. Hope you’ll enjoy it and be inspired by it, regardless of your fitness level, or lack of it. It’s sincerely for everyone. Being an enthusiastic rope jumper, jogger or whatever else, isn’t required. Maybe your sport is more akin to remote channel flipping. We can work with that ... maybe ... I’ll get back with you on that. Anyhoo, encouragement is golden. I’m hoping you’ll find a wealth of it right here and will be inclined to add your two cents. Even pennies have worth. ShoutOutsThe wrap! That's it for this one!
God bless you! Thanks for the read! Thanks for the tips! Thanks for coming back next Tuesday! Hope you enjoy a wonderful week, femmeflashpoint
