Are you a fan of Uno yet? How about Penny and Caesar? Jade and I only recently discovered them ourselves. They're so charming they won us over with their first video. We’ve since gone through their entire selection and viewed some more than once. Ceasar, Penny and Uno are three tiny parrots of the lovebird variety. If you’re familiar with lovebirds you already know they may be small in stature but HUGE in personality! These three star in a few videos that give a perfect representation of that. Please have a look at the vid below. It’s short, sweet and guarantees a smile! Lovebird Life by YouTube’s 3Birds1VeganWe watched this at my desk, on my laptop. Jade, my nine-year-old lovebird, watched from my shoulder and he loved it! He cocked his head and stared at the screen, chirping responses to the three parrots that look nearly identical to him. We watched a few more vids featuring these birds and he was just as dazzled with them, but he ended up falling asleep through the reruns, while I was busy leaving comments. These are pics I took of Jade yesterday with my teeny-tiny-Barbie-phone. Please pardon the low-quality shots. The phone was inexpensive and is mostly used as my music provider during workouts and note-taking tool during interviews. It does pretty good at outdoor shots on the fly, but indoors it's challenged. Jade hates having his pic taken, so I have to be quick getting shots of him before he jumps to attack it. Jade--our resident avian superstar! One viewer left a comment about how much Ceasar, Penny and Uno look alike, and questioned how they managed to tell them apart. She replied that their tails feathers are trimmed with slight deviations to help them know which is which. I left a few comments too, and the owner replied that her purpose in producing the videos is to help raise awareness about these tiny parrot power houses. I’m very appreciative of her information and that’s how her dynamic trio came to be featured here today. Her message is simple and needed. I applaud her for coming up with a fun and interesting way to shout it out. The message is: Parrots don’t make for good ornamental pets. Easy lovin', if you know what you're in for...The lovebird variety is easy to get a crush on. They’re compact, smart, friendly and tame quickly. These attributes make them very attractive to people looking for eye-candy pets, thinking they won’t take up much space physically, emotionally or time-wise. It’s the perfect mix for a very dissatisfying relationship between a lovebird and owner. Like nearly all parrots, they’re social creatures and should not be purchased by anyone who isn’t aware that the need for interaction with them can often go well beyond feeding and cage cleaning. The personal interaction is especially needed for lovebirds who are without a mate. Mornings and late afternoon thru evenings are usually the most active times for lovebirds. During the larger part of the day, they may chirp and cheep but it’s at a lower volume. They tend to nap a lot during that time too. My own lovebird, Jade, who is nine-years-old, often uses those hours to snooze in his nesting box, one of his perches, which includes me, if I'm available. If I’m away from the home until late, my sister steps in to check on him and spend time with him. Jade loves her and this keeps him from feeling neglected, getting depressed and frustrated. 3Birds1Vegan has done an excellent job in relaying the personality and high energy lovebirds can display. I've shared her work with you hoping you’ll not only view it but will share it with others across the social networks you visit. Each share is an opportunity to help others know if lovebirds are, or aren’t, the ideal friend for them to introduce as a new member of their family.
