His great love for helping people is literally world-famous. Like many Christians, Dr. Dobson is of the belief that family is not limited to mortal bloodlines. Dr. Dobson was adopted. The interview I listened to covered his family’s recent visit to Washington, D.C., in which part of their itinerary included participating in the 45th Annual March for Life. I’ve never attended this event, but would sincerely love to someday. Of course, I would love even more if there were no need for it, but to the tune of 60 million children being aborted since the implementation of Roe v. Wade, the march continues to be effective and necessary. During Dr. Dobson’s interview, he mentioned that he was in the area prior to the march to attend a fundraiser for a not-for-profit organization called, Save the Storks. I’d never heard of it, but the org’s name was so cool, it intrigued me enough to eat my cabbage rolls, standing at the kitchen counter. That way I could listen to the story on my great-grand-daddy’s FM radio--part of our lifeline for positive content and weather updates, with or without, electricity. Save the Storks is a program that allows women who are considering abortion, to have a private ultrasound, via a mobile unit operated by women only, and at no cost to the recipient. It’s producing positive results. Thus far, the units in operation are reporting four out of five women who participated in the ultrasounds declined aborting their children. This is an option many women considering abortion weren’t given. Save the Storks is helping to provide that opportunity. To date, Save the Storks has developed 54 buses (35 are in service and 19 more are in production) equipped with medical imaging equipment. Their efforts have saved more than 1,000 babies from abortion. Image via Save the Storks. Click here to visit their website. I hope you’ll check them out via the links I’ve provided, and share this post with whomever you know may find it helpful. My thanks to Dr. Dobson for bringing Save the Storks to my attention. Baby feet compliments of my great-nephew, Monroe, who’s just hit his 1 month and 1 day milestone as I’m writing this post. 💖 ShoutOutsThe wrap!I pray the good Lord blesses you with a wonderful week, and that you'll come back for another visit next Tuesday.
'til then, Shalom
