Remember my not-so-long-ago post about Evernote? Well, Evernote is just one of the programs I use for work and personal organization on a near daily basis. Here's a list of several others: Google Mail, Google Drive (and all the apps associated with it), Google Calendar, Boomerang, Skitch, SumoMe, etcetera. And even more that I use frequently but not daily, such as PhotoScape, MailChimp and SwiftKey. Much of why I have so many programs in use is because aside from writing my own content, I do free-lance editing and serve as the webmaster for multiple websites. Many of the programs I use were advised for me to try by friends and colleagues in similar similar or related businesses. They believed the programs they used would offer the same enhancements to my own work. I listened. They were right. ☺ Open for biz...Surprisingly, one of my favorite and most-used tools to learn how to navigate programs and understand processes is YouTube, and it's there, without any nudges from kith, kin or colleagues, I discovered DottoTech all by myself. Mr. Dotto is a former television personality of the CBC and is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This guy's YouTube channel is a gold mine for information. He's an expert in know-how with about every program I use and his videos are totally free. Not only are they free, but you can use the pause and review/rewind options if you decide to take notes while you watch a vid and if you have questions afterwards, he encourages you to leave them in the comments section where he or the community can often help respond quickly. The DottoTech fun-factor!Steve Dotto is a gifted instructor and adept at breaking the most challenging aspects of programs many people use not only for business, but for personal organization and enhancement as well. This guy could present Evernote to pre-schoolers and they'd get it. In my case, I'm thrilled that he's fluent in blonde and I have no trouble at following his instructions on how to navigate the programs and operate all the bells and whistles included in them. It doesn't matter if you're a Mac, Android or Windows user. He's an expert with all of them. He's energetic, entertaining and enlightening. This guy's the best at making techno-tutoring fun! Some of us (including me) don't do well with monotone lectures that are shy on enthusiasm. If you're like that too, you'll see why I love DottoTech vids from the get-go, assuming you head over to see for yourself. Steve Dotto's vids are short, to the point and never boring. I daresay, they're exciting because, he's excited about how the programs operate and all the neat stuff they do, and he's just as excited to share that knowledge with you. The applications and programs he highlights aren't just for writers or web designers. They're excellent for working with nearly any business and for personal use as well. An extra helping of good news for you, and maybe others you''d like to tip off is that the applications and programs he highlights aren't just for writers or web designers. They're excellent for working with nearly any business and for personal use as well. Patreon has made it possible to provide funding to some of your favorite businesses and organizations and I'm very happy to see a growing number of indie businesses and organizations linking up with them. DottoTech is a perfect example of how a business can succeed in generating revenue based on popularity and affordability factor. Patreon provides a way for you to easily support the business and organizations you love for as little as $1 per month. In DottoTech's case, it allows him to continue bringing excellent educational content and earn an income as well as provide work to employees or other businesses he contracts with for services to enhance his own business and service to his guests and fans. I hope you'll check out Patreon independently. Never know. It might make for a great partnership for you or another organization or business you're familiar with. Finish Line! That's it for this one!
God bless you, thanks for the read and please don't forget to thank a veteran at your next opportunity! femmeflashpoint
