The longer I work with Evernote, the more I love it and need it. Life runs far more smoothly when using this fantastic, free program. It isn’t just for writers. Evernote can be a huge benefit to just about anyone who has schedules, chores, hobbies, appointments and special events to keep up with. Chefs, teachers, hair stylists, photographers, ministers, stay-at-home-parental units, students, butchers, bakers and candlestick makers ... Evernote is a workhorse that will help you stay up to date, organized and on schedule with everything from grocery lists to sermon notes. However many tasks you’ve got to keep track of, bring it on. Evernote can handle it. It’s like a personal assistant that lives in your smart phone, your laptop, PC and tablet, and ensures that what info you’ve put in one of those devices will be waiting for you as soon as you want to access it from another device. So, if I'm out and I snap a pic with my Evernote camera app, it will auto-file it to wherever I need it to go. Later, at my desk, I don’t even have to send the pic anywhere from my mobile device because if Evernote's had access to WiFi, it's already synced the new data (pic, receipt, voice memo, whatever) to all of the other devices I have it installed on. Let’s say the pic was of a biz card that belonged to an indie biz owner I met while I was out. Now, I have an email address with which to reach him or her with and can send off an email to make a date for an interview so their biz can be featured on flashPress, or one of the other sites I work with in the Weeblyhood. That's an easy to come up with example because it's a factual one. Not only can I access what info I've put in Evernote from any of my working devices, I can share it with others that might need the info. Evernote makes collaboration very easy and even has a chat feature specific to the program. I did mention that it's totally free, right? You can purchase the pro-version of Evernote for about $5 USD a month. But, I’ve been using Evernote for a couple of years, as a small indie biz owner, and the free version has totally taken care of everything I need. I have it on all my devices. With it, I can collaborate with the flashPress and On Story Street editor, who lives hundreds of miles away. Like me, she can use it while working from her tablet, her smart phone or her computer. I can collaborate with other colleagues who also live hundreds of miles away, or even in other countries, all with the free version. It does a sterling job and hasn't cost me a cent. It’s versatile and has an array of blonde-friendly features that will make you wonder how you ever got through a work-week without it. With Evernote I can take and store images for specific projects or reasons. In many cases, it’ll store it for me and file it for me right where I want it to go because it learns my preferences through my settings. I can record dictation on the fly, or use it during an interview, or even when I’m out on a Squatch It! adventure with Nee, and she hears something ... I can even hand-write notes into it or type up notes for an article, or a chapter of a book, or even the whole book. Whatever I’ve put on one device, Evernote will automatically sync to my other devices as soon as it has access to WiFi. As well as to my Evernote account on the web, where it stores my work in “the cloud” when I want it to. Evernote isn’t something I use once in a while. I sincerely use this program for both professional and personal task management, storage and organization nearly seven days a week. Shopping in the Evernote MarketEvernote’s online market is a place I visit frequently, do lots of browsing and lots of wishing, but although I do love several items they have available on the site, I’m sorry to say that I think most of them are incredibly over-priced. However, you might find the prices totally do-able and discover all sorts of items there you want to invest in. The exception in high-prices are their notebooks. Those are priced affordably and they're developed in association with Moleskine, whose products I'm a big fan of. Moleskine makes some awesome stuff that's versatile, made with excellent quality and very affordable. They always get a big thumbs up from me and I'm thrilled that they're producing some products for Evernote. You can learn more about Moleskine and their products by going to moleskine.com Why would someone need a notebook when they've got Evernote? Well, sometimes hand-notes or sketches are a part of whatever it is we're wanting to do. For some folks hand-writing and drawing is necessary and faster. With Moleskine note books, the great-quality paper they employ merges well with electronic devices. Take notes or sketch. Click a pic of them, and if you use Evernote camera app, Evernote will file them and make them available to share with your collaborators within seconds, if you wish. You can also take a pic with them using your camera's own photo app, and include the pic as a file to Evernote and accomplish the same thing. Cool, huh? Evernote's got you coveredI’m a dedicated Windows user on a computer, but I’m also mostly happy with Android OS smart phones and tablets. However, if you’re an Apple fan, don’t fret! Evernote works seamlessly with Apple and even Ubuntu users can get Evernote on their machines via the Everpad tool. To give you another nudge, here are a couple of excellent videos to help explain and encourage you to at least investigate Evernote a little further. And, here's one on how to use Moleskine with EvernoteThis vid is bit dated. When it says this feature is currently available on Apple products, and doesn't mention Windows or Android products, don't worry. It works on all of them. I use it all the time on both Android and Windows OS machines. ☺ Finish LineThanks so much for your visit today! I hope I've hooked your interest enough to give Evernote a chance to impress you!
That's it for this one! God bless you, thanks for the read and please don't forget to thank a veteran at your next opportunity! femmeflashpoint
