The staff is familiar with me and I’m familiar with them, and they’re just as familiar with my friend.
During a recent meeting, our server mentioned a recent overdose on pancakes. Wasn’t that she ate lots of them. It was that the syrup was possibly not sugar-free and she’s diabetic. She explained that she packs her food to take to work, and is in habit of including sugar-free condiments, but it was possible that the syrup on her cakes ended up being sugared, accidentally.

My friend and I both took interest in her story, since both of us have a history of spending much of our careers in medicine, as well as having many diabetics in our own families.
With our additional passion for homeopathic wellness options, I decided to make good use of the conversation, and meet a couple needs. In the doing, I hoped to gain a new reader for flashPress, give a couple hard-working YouTube producers some time in the spotlight (and hopefully gain them some new fans as well), while providing a some tasty, diabetic-safe recipes for one of the world’s fav foods.

I'm in hopes that my good friend and colleague, Vicki Warner of WarnerWords, will consider coming up with her own version of a vegan/diabetic friendly pancake. She's an amazing chef and I love her cooking posts. If she does, I'll be sure to give you a heads up and share the link in a future post.
Thanks for your visit!
I pray your week is blessed and hope to have you back again for next week's edition!

flashPress is a totally free site, but, if you like it and would like to leave a tip, I'll surely put it to good use on things like food, clothes, fuel for my auto, soap to shower with, etc. I think those qualify for seriously good use. ☺
