It’d take a whole lotta space to write all the reasons Pixlr’s free image editor is in my top-favs list of photo apps. It can take a great image and turn it into an awesome-sauce image in mere moments. Why should you settle for an average, okay pic when you can have an outta-the-park pic, super fast, and for free? Pixlr isn’t just for bloggers. It’s for anyone who wants to take images from ordinary to extraordinary. It's a tool that can help with images for posters, website backgrounds, an inclusion in a work document or flyer, a slideshow, a video or just to post on Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, Google+, or whatever else floats their boat, Pixlr can help. It’s an easy-to-use program that can be accessed online via your browser, or downloaded to your pc, mac or mobile device. It has easy save and sharing options that make it simple to share your edited masterpieces to your favorite social networks. Below are some examples of before and after images enhanced with Pixlr. Cool, huh? I used some of the more intense options to enhance the pics above, but there is a huge array of editing options you can choose from, and like me, you'll probably end up with several favorites that you'll use more often than others. Pixlr allows you to enhance in a way that expresses the mood you want to set for whatever it is you plan to do with the image. If it's part of a story, you might want to go with more dramatic effects. If it's part of a slide show or Power Point presentation for a business meeting, you might want to keep it streamlined with sharper focusing. It's up to you, but whatever you're wanting to enhance or lose into the background, Pixlr has an effect that will be just what you're looking for.
