This is the coolest little app from Evernote and like Evernote, it syncs with your desktop, laptop and smaller mobile devices. What does it do? It allows you to capture screen images, or load pre-existing images and augment them and easily integrate the with Evernote or wherever else you want to use them. I fell in love with this little tool and have been using it from everything to prepping images for blog posts to augmenting and annotating them for tutorials on how to do this, that and the other thing. All that and it's free. ☺ Meet Skitch!I downloaded it for my HP laptop via skitch.com. I got it for my Android tablet and mobile phone from the Google Play store. I've used it on all three devices without any problems and what I have on one syncs with the others whenever I have WiFi access. I've been using Skitch so often lately, I'm even keeping it pinned to my desktop toolbar. Once I got started, I became a near-instant Skitch-junkie. It lines up nicely with my Evernote addiction. Skitch is a small program that comes with just the right sorts of tools to make it simple and effective. I use it for the things I listed earlier but, I can think of all sorts of reasons folks might like it from enhancing simple email images to those used on social networks and even group presentations and e-conferencing. In the image below, I selected a site I work with often and plastered some arrows here, there and yonder to give you a solid example of some of the graphics tools Skitch provides for you to mark things up with. The image is the home page of the Tips for Talent Club. Just click the pic if you'd like to visit the site. By the way, Skitch doesn't limit you to using neon green. I just used it because it's one of my fav colors. Skitch offers several alternatives colors. It also has an image scrambler to help you cover sensitive areas of docs you don't want to share with viewers. Below is my Gmail inbox. Covering private data was accomplished in seconds. It also gives you a variety of stickers to work with. Sorry a couple got duplicated. It's a new toy. I got excited. Skitch also comes with a virtual marker, a highlighting tool and a multi-shapes tool, that can all be used in a variety of colors. The image below is linked to the Senior Artisans Web Shoppe. Just click the pic to visit the site. Skitch allows you to save your document in a variety of options, such as jpg, pdf, png and more. It also provides an easy cropping tool. For a short but excellent in-depth video on Skitch and how much it can benefit you, here's on of my fav vloggers, Steve Dotto of DottoTech with a YouTube tutorial all about why he's a Skitch fan and how it works. I hope you'll check out this compact yet awesome-sauce program. It's made it to my top-ten favorite desktop tools list in under two weeks. If you've got questions about it, leave me a comment or hit me up in an email. I'll be happy to help. The wrap! Here are a few editions of posts by indie biz bloggers I also hope you'll find some time for. They're worth the read and they writers will definitely appreciate your interest.
That's it for this one! God bless you, thanks for the read and see you next week! femmeflashpoint
