For a whole lot of the commodities you use, most are purchased by choice of where and whom to buy them from. There will always be folks who will never bother investing in small businesses, but there is an ever growing number of people who will go out of their way to do just that, and I hope you're one of them. In my quest to knit together the small biz community with the folks who want to do business with them, I've got one for you today that you might be a little bit familiar with already, via the last few issues of the Pumpkin Run Pulse and femme's Desk. Today I'd like to give you a wider view of them and their business, and do my best to entice you to consider purchasing some of their goods, since I have complete confidence that once you've tried their stuff, they'll become one of your favorite suppliers! Allow me to introduce you to the work of Tammy Keesling and Maria Swanson of Shabbybath Naturals. Professional besties! About 11 years ago, Tammy and Maria, best friends and stay-at-home moms, decided to start making homemade soap for fun. One of them has a daughter with sensitive skin, and their soap (being made with all natural products) worked so well, they decided to investigate how it would be received elsewhere. So, they packed up their products and off they went to set up a display at a local craft show. Thankfully, their homemade soap was a hit, and now can be purchased via their internet Etsy shoppe! These ladies went all out with the creativity, and have since produced a line of natural bath products of such extraordinary quality that their clients are raving about them. Their products are not only awesome to use and work exactly as they say they will, but they keep them priced to be affordable for nearly anyone. Here's a glimpse of the variety of the special items they offer. Clicking on any of the pics will open a new window for you, landing you right in their store. The line-up! Since that first craft show, Tammy and Maria have set up their mobile shoppe at multiple craft shows and events all over the East and South-East U.S.A. The ladies work effectively as partners, running their business together and working from their homes. They also get their children involved in making some of their products, and their line is increasing. A little company doing big things in North Augusta, South Carolina, U.SA "We started making soap for fun and distraction, and eventually decided to try selling it at a First Friday showcase. It went well, so we expanded to more shows and products. "This type of business was practical because we were each mothers of small children and it gave us the opportunity to run a business from home, allowing us to spend more time with our families. "The decision to pursue all natural products came about because one of Tammy's daughters has eczema. This gave her a reason to design products that weren't full of harmful chemicals that would inflame her daughter's skin. "Now, we offer goats' milk soaps, a sea salt soap, solid lotions, salt scrubs, shower butters, whipped Shea butter, bath bombs, and lip balms. Also, we have recently made an all-natural insect repellent but it isn't yet available on Etsy. "The pros of working with a partner that I am good friends with is that we are both willing to give our honest opinions to each other about anything. We believe that this leads to higher quality products and better customer service. "We're always working to develop new products that will provide all-natural skin care. In the future we intend to somewhat expand our production but will still be working from our homes to continue being able to spend more time with our families." Maria Swanson of Shabbybath Naturals A feather for their caps ... My good friend, author Maria Jordan, was one of the first Sibling Synergy readers to purchase products from Shabbybath Naturals. Not long after she got her first set of items from them, she wrote to me to sincerely brag on the quality of them as well as how fast they got them to her. Maria's opinion holds a good bit of weight with me. She has excellent taste and doesn't brag when it's not warranted, only endorsing the good stuff. She's got another practice I love as well. When she finds products she likes, especially those produced by a small business, she doesn't keep them to herself. She's fantastic about helping to spread the word about them and often purchases items from these companies as gifts for family, friends and colleagues. The reason I love this is she's not only personally supporting these small businesses by by trading with them, she's opening the door for others to learn about them too, providing an up-close introduction to their products so they can personally experience why she's so fond of them. To get better acquainted with Maria, her life and literature, please visit her website, marcoujor's musings at marcoujor.com. She's a fascinating lady and you'll love her site! How YOU can get their awesome products!
purchasing them as gifts as well.
Shabbybath Naturals are available for shipping to residents in the U.S. and Canada, however if you're in another country, and are interested in purchasing their products, just contact Maria and Tammy via their online store and see what your options are. I'm confident that if your request can be accommodated, they'll make it happen. That's another perk associated with small businesses. The relationships go beyond professional, they're personal and good customers are sincerely appreciated! I hope you've enjoyed getting familiar with Shabbybath Naturals, and hope when you visit their site and make your first purchase, you'll let them know you found them via femmeflashpoint and the Pumpkin Run Pulse! Thanks for your visit, and for being a part of the cool crowd that's making a difference in doing better business! God bless you, thank you for the read, and please don't forget to thank a veteran at your next opportunity! femmeflashpoint

Very cool, Femme. I'm curious about their insect repellent. Here in Florida, we're constantly battling mosquitoes. I'll have to keep my eyes out for the launch!
