Scott and Dr. Jerrilee LaMar of Artisan Homestead in Posey County are known for producing some of the finest organic and hand-crafted products in Southern Indiana. Thankfully, they have a website with a web-shoppe to ensure their customers only have to travel as far as their tablet, computer or mobile phone to easily purchase their favorite products even if they're far and away from the rivers' land. I've used their products myself and my-oh-my! They're an affordable luxury I encourage everyone to get acquainted with! Not only are they wonderful to use, they're hand crafted and responsibly produced in an organic environment that's yet another quality business, practicing with integrity within the indie biz community. Late summer, Alicia (of On Story Street) and I were given a bit of a tour of Artisan Homestead where we got to chat with the LaMars and get some wonderful shots of their beautiful farm where their products are made. I couldn't have had more fun if I'd spent the afternoon in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Mr. Wonka has gourmet chocolate and oompa loompas, but Artisan Homestead has giggling goats, a guard goose, honey bees, chickens and ducks. No contest! ☺ Video-tourBelow is a short video-tour of the grounds and a few of the residents of Artisan Homestead. Products highlightThe brief slide-show below will give you a good look at the variety of products available on the Artisan Homestead website. You can click any of the pics to be taken to their website via a new page opening in your browser. Their website not only contains an online shoppe with detailed descriptions of each of their products, but it also houses a photo gallery which is loads of fun to browse. Their products will make excellent stocking stuffers for even the most snobby and persnickety people on your gift-list. Everyone else will love the because they're just 'cause they feel so good to use! A word of caution--their bath products are likely to induce the urge to linger in the shower so plan on involuntary, extravagant water usage. It's true. I'm guilty of it myself, but it's worth it! CLICK HERE to visit the Artisan Homestead website to learn more and do a bit of holiday shopping! The wrap!Just a few more days and we'll be back to gaining ground in daylight hours. Woohooo!!! Makes me happy! Victoria Warner mentions this, and shares some great information on organic gardening in the most recent edition of WarnerWords.
