Another plus with her recommendations--they've already been screened, by her, as well as whatever reader recommended or gifted them to her. That means I'll enjoy the reads and already know they'll qualify for a review on flashPress, for at least young adults and up, and will be free of foul language and adult content. After the recent culling, Bloody Point topped off the latest stack of Nee's recommendations, and oh my goodness! I became an instant fan of author, Linda J. White. The story largely takes place in the Chesapeake Bay area. While living in central Virginia for several years, the coastal areas of Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina were some of my favorite places to to spend what little free time I had. This book took me there, so effectively, I may as well have been reading it near the beach. I moved from cover to cover enjoying salty breezes, tinged with the familiar and comforting sounds of gulls, sandpipers and rolling surf in the background. Past her reader-teleportation skills, White's mystery thriller was one of those riveting stories that I couldn't wait to finish yet didn't want it to end. The story has a just-right number and blend characters, realistically crafted that fit into their roles perfectly in the story’s environment. They'll have your mind spinning in high gear, running the gamut of theories of who could be guilty of what and who’ll be disappearing next. The suspense is just gonna keep on building as the story goes from one, two then three homicide cases to solve. As creepy coincidences escalate, locals and agents struggle to stitch the clues together before another of their own is targeted and extinguished in some ruthless fashion. My description may sound grim but don't fret... There are threads of gold woven into this story that will cause your soul to flutter in anxious anticipation of wonderful things happening in the supernatural realm and even more excited when they begin to manifest and become effective in the natural. Many of the supernatural aspects of this book are likely to be familiar in that, there’s a good chance they’ll remind you of a similar idea or experience. Of all the cool characters in the story, I gotta say, Aunt Truly and her Springer Spaniel, Jazz, are easily two of my all time fav characters from any book. You might even recognize them, ‘cause maybe you’ve been blessed with at least one Aunt Truly, or Jazz in your own life. If that’s so, I hope you’ll come back and share the info in a comment later on. About the author...Linda J. White is an author that is sooooo worthwhile to get familiar with. She produces the high caliber work of a polished professional, and obviously incorporates heavy doses of love into her projects. I Googled her, found her website and after a quick skim added her blog to my feed reader. If I read it right, she publishes monthly. I plan to read every edition. Her writing style makes her work a cinch to get through. If you’re one of those who dislikes reading, long, wordy graphs, you'll get along great with her books. In her bio area, she explains that her husband, a long-time film producer at Quantico FBI academy, wanted to help her produce quality fiction with authentic investigative content. So, he introduced her to many of his colleagues who in turn, shared their expertise that readers will find neatly stitched into her stories. Another something wonderful are the “threads of faith” that you'll discover in her stories, giving her work a soul-stirring, beyond this world quality. I'm hoping I've enticed you to read Bloody Point, and see for yourself how easy it is to become a fast-fan of Linda J. White. ShoutOutsThe wrap! That's it for this one!
God bless you, thank you for visiting and hope to see you back again next Tuesday! femmeflashpoint

Reading a well-written, well-plotted book is in my view the best way to escape from one's personal reality. Mmmm, the second best thing, as writing it is actually the best way. I love those books that I can't wait to finish yet don't want to end.
