Three sites serving free soul-food!I'm an avid surfer. Web-surfer. It's almost as exciting as ocean surfing minus rip tides, eye-burning salt water and fish with sharp teeth. When I find a new site that's producing content I enjoy I'm driven to share it with you, especially when it's serving up free stuff that will encourage you, brighten up your outlook and maybe do the same for other folks you think will enjoy it too. Today I have three such sites to acquaint you with. Two are new to me but have been up and running for a good while. The other is a brand new site that made its debut a week ago Friday. So, let's get to it! Sea Thru to YouThis is the site that's barely a week old. The owner and author is Charlotte Ann Davis, of central Virginia. I've been a fan of her work for decades. My first exposure to it came via a cardboard box, packed nearly full with handwritten papers. She was one of the first, and is of the remaining few writers, that can enchant me with poetry. If you're not into poetics either, don't fret. Her blog posts aren't likely to be poetry, at least not all the time. She's not a genre-specific blogger. I appreciate that 'cause I'm not a genre-specific reader. She's semi-retired and much of her career was spent in the medical field. She often weaves past experiences into her work, presenting them in ways that will enrich your life as they have hers. I can only hope that in her story-weaving she'll remember to change the names to protect the innocent. ☺ Innocent. That's my middle name. Although her site is titled Sea Thru to You, the site's blog is titled, Transparent Hearts. It publishes weekly, on Fridays. The site will also offer a book shoppe as soon as Charlotte's first book clears the editing and publishing process. Stay tuned 'cause I'll be one of the first to lend a shout out when it's available for purchase. In the meantime, I hope you'll visit Sea Thru to You, check out her first post, and consider subscribing. She's one of the newest members of the indie biz bloggers community and she'll sincerely appreciate your interest. You can find Sea Thru to You at cdwriter.weebly.com. A Work of HeartThis one is new to me and I became a fan by the time I was only halfway through the first of the posts I've read on the site. I've since made my way through several and have enjoyed every one of them immensely. The owner and author is Kerri S. Wilson of Central Texas. Her writing is rich, flavorful and filling, much like my great-gran's stew. It will warm your insides and leave you satisfied for a long time after, but with zero calories and no animal products. It's work to be savored, not rushed through. ☺ A long-time writer, educator, wife and parent, Kerri is adept at making use of a variety of experiences and situations to relate to her readers, sharing with them her own style of soul food to bolster, support and encourage. Kerri is more than any of the things listed in the above graph. She's also a survivor of difficult situations. When you read her work, her strength shines through as does the Source of it. So, if you're having a bad day, feeling hurt, lost or overwhelmed, settle in for a bit of reading from A Work of Heart. Her site offers good medicine--soul food with just the right seasoning to fill you up, help you heal, help someone else through a rough patch or just to take a break and enjoy a bit of spirit lifting.
